Indian Valley, Steubenville earn wins in Division IV, Region 15 semis

The Indian Valley Braves pushed past the Cols. Bishop Ready Silver Knights in Saturday’s Division IV, Region 15 semifinal at Newark’s White Field.

Gavin Henry (116 rushing yards) broke through on I.V.’s opening drive for an 81-yard rushing touchdown, while Kolton Thomas threw a pair of touchdowns on 4-of-5 passing for 95 yards – 67 of which went to Henry on a scoring throw. Thomas also recorded three tackles and an interception on defense.

The Braves (10-3) will return to the regional finals for the first time since 2013.

STEUBENVILLE 41, COLUMBUS EAST 22

The Steubenville Big Red won their Region 15 semifinal against Columbus East High School on Saturday night at Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium.

The Big Red (11-2) led, 34-8, at halftime.

Steubenville will play Indian Valley on Saturday, Nov. 19 at a neutral site to be determined.
