CANTON TOWNSHIP
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed a 70-year-old man Saturday afternoon in Canton Township.
According to OSHP, the crash occurred at the intersection of Dueber Ave SW and Fohl Road SW.
James V. Horsley, 70, of Massillon was operating a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle, heading south on Dueber Ave SW. Reports show that a car, driven by Michael W. Poland, 45, of Canton, was heading northbound of Dueber.
Investigations show that Poland attempted to turn left onto Fohl Road SW and entered the southbound lane of Dueber Ave SW where Horsley was traveling on his motorcycle. Horsley was transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
