JMN has obtained 911 calls released in connected to a shooting that left a 23-year-old Canton man seriously injured.
According to 911 records, a woman told the dispatcher that her older brother, Corey Thompson, 37, of Malvern, showed up to her home and shot her boyfriend, Jaden Matthew Weatherford, 23, multiple times.
In the 911 call, Thompson’s younger sister by 14-years tells the dispatcher that her brother walked up the driveway and shot her boyfriend and fled from the home.
“My brother just came and shot my boyfriend,” the woman said.
The dispatcher asked the woman if Thompson was still at the residence and she said “No! He ran off, he ran off!”
In the call, you can hear the woman say Thompson used a handgun to shoot Weatherford.
A motive for the shooting was not disclosed.
Thompson was arrested at 4143 Bonnie Drive in Malvern.
