Three rescued, one seriously burned, two firefighters injured during Canton fire

A man was rescued from a fire late Thursday night, and transported to the hospital with serious burns in Canton.

Canton Firefighters were dispatched to 914 Raff Road SW around 11:06 p.m and arrived to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the structure.

Three victims were rescued from the structure which had been converted into a five-unit apartment complex.

A man with serious burns was transported to Aultman Hospital. The other man and woman rescued were evaluated at the scene, but were not transported to the hospital.

Two firefighters were also injured in the fire. One of which was transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital and later released. The other did not seek medical attention.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
