Police provide details into Louisville stabbing; identify victim, possible motive

More details are being released in the Tuesday afternoon stabbing death in Louisville.

The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Michael Morris of Alliance.

According to police, Morris was stabbed in the chest following an altercation with two teenagers.

An officer in the area of Wildwood Park was flagged down by a civilian who reported a stabbing in the park around 4pm. That officer and others responded and found Morris suffering from a stab wound from a knife in the chest.

The officers, the Louisville Fire Department and others performed life-saving measures, but the victim died shortly after arriving to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital.

A 17-year-old girl from Louisville has been charged with Murder, Felonious Assault and Aggravated Criminal Trespass. A 15-year-old Louisville boy is facing charges of aiding and abetting Murder and Felonious Assault, Aggravated Criminal Trespass and Carry a Concealed Weapon.

The altercation between the parties involved stems from previous unresolved conflicts, according to a Louisville Police.
