Man dies in Carroll County motorcycle accident

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a motorcycle crash that claimed the life of man Saturday evening in Carroll County.

Paul V. Tuzzio II of Canton was operating a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound of Route 212, just east of the Tuscarawas County line, when he failed to negotiate a curve and traveled of the right side of the road and hit a culvert, according to OSHP.

Sgt. Gary Wolfe said Tuzzio was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at Aultman Hospital.

The crash happened just before 6pm Saturday and remains under investigation.

Assisting the highway patrol at the scene were Sherrodsville Regional EMS, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and Rocky’s Towing.
