A pair of area head football coaches will be participating in the upcoming Pro Football Hall of Fame East-West All-Star Game in Canton.
The game – the first of its kind since 2019 – will kick off at 7 p.m. on July 23 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
Sandy Valley head coach Brian Gamble will be the head coach of the East squad, against West coach Mark Geis (Green). Fairless head coach A.J. Sarbaugh and Falcons assistant coach Eric Brock will join Green’s Ryan Murphy on Geis’s West coaching staff, while Gamble’s East staff will include his own assistant coach, Brian Reidenbach, as well as respective head coaches Brian Baum (Hoover) and Tim Goodman (Alliance).
The game will also include a pair of 2020 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees as honorary coaches – former Pittsburgh Steelers safety Donnie Shell (East) and Rams/49ers wide receiver Isaac Bruce (West).
Rosters, which will be comprised of 2022 high school graduates, will be finalized and announced at a later date.
