Dover, Hiland, New Philadelphia, Sandy Valley standouts among 2022 All-Ohio baseball picks

OHIO (JMN Sports) – All-Ohio high school baseball team selections were released on Monday, as voted on by the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association.

Dover senior Mason Stoldt was named to the Division I First Team as an outfielder. The Walsh University commit hit .427 BA/.537 OBP/.773 SLG with five home runs and 28 runs batted in for the Crimson Tornadoes and was the lone East District representative on the Division I roster.

In Division II, New Philadelphia senior Brenton Billman was named to the Second Team as a utility player. Billman batted .446 with nine doubles, one triple, one home run, 21 RBIs, and 21 runs scored. Billman also went 3-3 on the pitcher’s mound for the Quakers, with a 2.27 ERA and 49 strikeouts in 49.1 innings.

In Division III, Harison Central junior Treston Nemeth was named as a First Team pitcher, while Sandy Valley senior Kaden Mastri earned Second Team honors as an outfielder. Nemeth, the reigning Player of the Year in the OVAC (4A) and East District, recorded a .545/.657/.961 slash line with 42 hits, 36 RBIs, and five home runs along with 14 stolen bases. Mastri, who took IVC North Player of the Year honors, batted .266/.454/.646 with five home runs, 25 RBIs, and 27 runs scored.

Division IV’s team included three Hiland players: senior first baseman Jeff Todaro (.397/.483/.608, three home runs, 33 RBIs, 18 runs) on Second Team and junior infielders Cody Yoder (.413/.472/.587, six doubles, one home run, 20 RBIs, 24 runs) and Nolan Yoder (.432/.516/.581, nine doubles, 23 RBIs, 35 runs) to the Honorable Mention squad.
