New Philadelphia’s season came to an end in a 6-3 Quakers loss to Steubenville in Thursday’s Division II Regional semifinal at Gnadenhutten Indian Valley High School.

The Quakers and Big Red were tied at 1-all into the third inning before Steubenville scored three runs off Quakers starter Brenton Billman.

New Philadelphia scratched a pair of runs in the top of the 6th before dropping the contest.

Steubenville will play on Friday against Columbus Bishop Hartley in the Division II Region 7 finals at Teats Valley (5 p.m.).

Baltimore Liberty Union outlasted Ridgewood in a close Division III Regional semifinal at Mount Vernon.
