A man from Canton died Saturday night as a result of an ATV accident in Osnaburg Township – just outside of East Canton.
Steven Blouir was pronounced dead at the scene Saturday on State Route 172 at Evening Star Avenue in Osnaburg Township, according to officials with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Officials say Blouir and a Louisville man were riding side-by-side ATVs along 172 when the two units sideswiped each other. Blouir’s unit flipped and he was struck by the other ATV.
The Louisville man was taken to Aultman Hospital with serious injuries.
Officials say neither of the men were wearing helmets and drugs and alcohol are suspected factors of the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
