Two juveniles arrested in connection to murder of Massillon man

The Canton Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a Massillon man dead Wednesday morning.

Canton Police responded to a residence in the 1000 block of 3rd St. N.W just after 10 a.m. When officers arrived on the scene, they found 46-year-old Tramell M. Childs of Massillon laying in the kitchen unresponsive. Police say he was shot in the neck. Childs was transported to Aultman Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Canton police detectives quickly identified a suspect and arrested 15-year-old Tyvon Hall of Canton on charges of Complicity to Commit Murder (F1), Complicity to Commit Felonious Assault (F-2) and Complicity to Commit Agg Burglary (F-1).

A second teenage suspect identified as 17-year-old Antione Forrester of Canton was arrested Thursday morning by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. He was charged with Complicity to Commit Murder (F1), Complicity to Commit Felonious Assault (F-2) and Complicity to Commit Agg Burglary (F-1).

The investigation is ongoing.
