Isabelle Tetreault pitched a complete game to lead the Garaway Pirates in a 2-1 Tuesday softball win over the Tusky Valley Trojans.

Tetreault allowed just two hits and a run while striking out 12 Trojan batters.

New Philadelphia earned an OVAC doubleheader sweep over Wheeling Park at Tuscora.

Julia Miller started and won both games for the Quakers, throwing for a combined 29 strikeouts.

MOUNT VERNON 17, WEST HOLMES 2

Mount Vernon earned a Tuesday Ohio Cardinal Conference victory at West Holmes.

Peyton Carathers and Keegan Uhl drove in both runs for the Knights.

BASEBALL

TUSCARAWAS VALLEY 14, GARAWAY 9

Tusky Valley overcame 5-0 and 7-4 deficits to take a Tuesday baseball contest over Garaway in Zoarville.

The Trojans (3-4, 2-2) were led by freshman reliever Roman Farnsworth, who picked up a victory after allowing five hits and two runs over four innings.

The Pirates (4-3, 0-2) were led by Preston Miller’s 3-for-4 plate performance, which included two runs batted in. Alex Roden also picked up a pair of RBIs for the Bucs, while Doran Mast went 3-for-4 with a run driven in.

MOUNT VERNON 10, WEST HOLMES 3

Mount Vernon’s baseball team matched its softball squad with a Tuesday win at West Holmes.

The Knights fall to 8-5 overall and 2-3 in OCC play.

BOYS TENNIS

WEST HOLMES 5, CLAYMONT 0

West Holmes’ boys tennis team remained unbeaten with a Tuesday team match win over Claymont.

The Knights (9-0) were led in singles play by Hunter Ellis (6-1, 6-0 over Koi Preston) and Trevor Miller (6-2, 6-1 over Maddux Maple).

In doubles, James Barr and Brody Schadd won 6-0, 6-0 over Mustangs Owen Cox and Kaden Salyers.
