New Philadelphia’s Ella Yoder roped a walk-off single in the bottom of the 9th inning of Thursday’s 2-1 Quaker victory over Dover.
New Phila starter Julia Miller struck out 18 batters in the home victory, while Elle Mason hit two triples and a single at the plate for the Quakers.
Taylor Luneborg totaled three hits for Dover, including a single and a double.
New Philadelphia completed a regular-season sweep of the Crimson Tornadoes with the victory.

Strasburg completed a five-inning victory over Amherst Steele in Thursday’s Wendy’s Spring Classic contest in Ashland.
Emma Gilkerson hit a solo home run and a three-run double, while Audrey Allensworth added a single, double, and three RBIs.
Tigers starter Amelia Spidell allowed just two hits in five shutout innings.

Sandy Valley had few problems in Thursday’s softball win over Hiland.
The Cardinals (3-5, 3-4) were led offensively by Peyton Nicholson (3 singles), Alli Neary (single, double, two RBIs), and Carsyn Dine (single, double), while Lizzie Pomesky, Amber Ward and Breeli Faiello each had two singles.

Rockets pitcher Masy Baker fired 13 strikeouts in Conotton Valley’s Thursday night win over Buckeye Trail.
Baker, who posted her fourth shutout of the spring, allowed just two hits.
Baker also fell a home run short of the cycle in batting, totaling a single, double, and triple for an RBI.
Jordyn Braun also led the Warriors (6-0) with three hits, including a team-best five RBIs.

Buckeye Trail won a 10-inning affair over visiting Conotton Valley on Thursday night in Lore City
The Warriors earned the win on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th.
Trail jumped out to an early 3-0 lead before the Rockets rallied to tie the game in the top of the 7th.
DOVER 2, TRIWAY 1 (8 INN.)
Dover’s baseball team won its sixth straight contest with a Thursday extra-inning victory over Triway.
The Crimson Tornadoes (6-1) totaled just three hits for the game offensively, with two coming from the bat of Brandon Shepler, who provided Dover’s entire scoring with a fourth-inning RBI double and a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the eighth.
Mason Stoldt shouldered all eight innings for Dover, scattering six hits and a run while striking out three.
Brock Tisko smacked three of the Titans’ (6-2) six hits.
HILAND 11, SANDY VALLEY 1
Nolan Yoder fired a one-hitter in Hiland’s Thursday blowout win over Sandy Valley.
Yoder also drove in three runs for the Hawks via two doubles, while Jeff Todaro blasted a home run and a single for two RBIs.
Ben Petro drove in the lone run for the Cardinals, while Kaiden Mastri totaled a single and a double in the loss.
INDIAN VALLEY 14, GARAWAY 6
Indian Valley improved to 6-0 in IVC play with a high-scoring Thursday night win over host Garaway.
The Braves (8-1) were led by Gavin Henry’s home run and double, while Jamin Beachy had three hits to lead the Pirates (4-2, 0-2 IVC).
CARROLLTON 12, MOGADORE 4
Carrollton won a non-conference showdown on Thursday against Mogadore.
Isaac Moore and Brody Wade each had two RBIs for the Warriors, with Moore recording two singles a double, and Wade a single and double.
Hayden Jenkins took the win in relief for Carrollton, throwing seven strikeouts over the final four innings.

Kolton Loy & Brayden Gross threw for a combined no-hitter in Thursday night’s Leopards win over Akron Ellet.
Loy pitched the first three innings for Louisville, striking out six while allowing one walk, while Gross struck out three over the final two innings.
Brandon Jackson and Will DeLaCroix led the Louisville offense, with Jackson going 5-for-5 with a double while earning 3 RBIs, three runs scored, and two stolen bases. Meanwhile, DeLaCroix went 4-for-4 with a double and a team-best 6 runs batted in.
Zach Ganser (3-for-4, 3 RBI) and Cooper Rice (2-for-4, 2 RBI) also heavily contributed to the Leopards’ victory.

Dover swept Steubenville in OVAC play on Thursday.
Nick Castricone (8-3), Ethan Kopp (8-0), Daniel Pfeiffer (8-0), and Jacob Murphy (8-0) all won their respective singles matches.
In doubles play, Castricone and Pfeiffer won 8-1, while Kopp and Murphy won 8-0. Micah Lint and Ryan Nixon also won via an 8-0 decision for the Crimson Tornadoes.

North Canton Hoover took all five matches over New Philadelphia on Thursday.
Colin Fitzgerald (6-1, 6-3 over Reese Malcolm), Hunter Holloway (6-0, 6-0 over Jordi Kopp), and Jackson Vance (6-0, 6-0 over Mason Clarkson) all won their respective singles matches for the Vikings.
Kyle Fitz-Patrick and Kaden Schans bested Vincent Henning and Owen Ohl in doubles via a 6-0, 6-1 final, while Rowan Durbin and Eli Logan beat Hudson Osborn and Trenton Huff at 6-0, 6-0.
