Dover baseball won on Thursday night in a 7-0 decision over Canton Central Catholic.

Nolan Kellicker and Mason Stoldt combined for the shutout pitching performance for the Crimson Tornadoes, while Ayden Hall went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a single, and two RBIs.

The Crusaders drop to 0-3 with the loss.

NEW PHILADELPHIA 4, MARIETTA 3

New Philadelphia won over Marietta on a bases-loaded walk-off single by Brenton Billman on Thursday at Tuscora.

Carter Vandall went five innings in the start for New Phila.

The Quakers moved to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the ECOL.

INDIAN VALLEY 6, GARAWAY 5

Kale Kochman roped a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 7th inning of Indian Valley’s Thursday win over Garaway.

Braves starter Trevor Myers allowed two hits and no runs over three innings of relief while striking out four Pirates batters.

Alex Roden, Cameron Coblentz, Jamin Beachy, and Payton Keller each totaled multiple hits for the Bucs.

HILAND 8, SANDY VALLEY 2

Hiland recorded a victory over Sandy Valley on Thursday night in Magnolia.

Jeff Todaro finished with three RBIs for the Hawks, while Dakota Miller drove in two runs on a double.

Will Schlabach struck out seven Cardinals over six innings.

BUCKEYE TRAIL 6, MALVERN 1

Buckeye Trail advanced to 3-1 (2-0 IVC) after a Thursday win over Malvern.

the Hornets dropped to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the IVC North.

SOFTBALL

NEW PHILADELPHIA 11, MARIETTA 1

The Lady Quakers won over Marietta on Thursday.

Ellie Mason and Zoe Devore each hit a home run for the Quakers, while Julia Miller earned the win for New Phila. Miller also drilled two doubles and a single at the plate.

SANDY VALLEY 16, HILAND 3

A 6-run third inning boosted Sandy Valley to a Thursday win over Hiland.

Amber Ward went 2-for-3 to lead the Sandy offense, while Peyton Nicholson stole four bases for the Cards.

McKenna Burk allowed three hits and three runs while striking out four Hawks batters through five innings.

LEGENDS INVITATIONAL

New Philadelphia’s boys’ track team was the overall winner of Thursday’s Legends Invitational at Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium.

The Quaker boys totaled 162 points, ahead of Wadsworth’s 2nd-place finish at 119. Massillon (3rd, 86.5), Claymont (4th, 74), Dover (5th, 50), and Canton South (6th, 31.5) followed.

Wadsworth took the girls’ division with 128 points, ahead of New Philadelphia (2nd, 110), Claymont (3rd, 85), Massillon (4th, 75.5), Dover (5th, 72.5) and Canton South (6th, 41).
