The Vice President of the Alliance City School District’s Board of Education died unexpectedly this week, according to the school district’s social media.

Sally Ailes was been an educator in Alliance for 29 years – teaching foreign language before her retirement in 2015. She was elected to the Board of Education in 2016.

Ailes graduated from Alliance High School in 1982.

Superintendent Rob Gress said that she will be “missed dearly by all of us at the Alliance City Schools.” He went on to talk about the impact she had with her “sincerity, kindness and desire to make the Alliance community a better place”

Gress said that counselors are available for anyone who may need them.

Ailes was 57 years old.
