New Philadelphia’s season came to an end with a 56-54 loss to Meadowbrook in Wednesday night’s Division II East District semifinal at Indian Valley High School.
Jake Singleton scored 25 points to lead the Colts, who will advance to the DIstrict final on Saturday, Mar. 5 at 7 p.m. against Tri-Valley at Coshocton High School.

No. 2 Tri-Valley beat No. 3 East Liverpool in the Division II East District semifinals on Wednesday at Claymont High School.
The Scotties will play Meadowbrook in Saturday’s Div. II District final at Coshocton.
LOUISVILLE 49, CANTON SOUTH 48
No. 2 Louisville rallied in the final minutes to defeat the #16 Canton South 49-48 in Wednesday’s Division II Ashtabula District semifinals at Canton GlenOak High School.
The Leopards were led by Will Aljancic’s 20 points – 10 of which were scored in the final period.
The Wildcats were led by Peyton Karovic’s team-high 17 points.
Louisville will play No. 12 Howland in the Ashtabula District Finals on Friday, Mar. 4 at 7 p.m. at Lakeside High School.

Apple Creek Waynedale handled Youngstown Liberty in Wednesday night’s Region 9 semifinal at Cuyahoga Falls.
The Lady Golden Bears will face Warrensville Heights on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Cuyahoga Falls for a spot in the Div. III girls’ State tournament.
