Uniontown Police are investigating a shooting that left a 41-year-old man dead and put a 74-year-old behind bars.
According to Stark County Jail records, police arrested Alfred L. Johnson around 7:30 p.m. at his home on a murder charge.
Police were dispatched to Johnson’s Starlight Circle NW home for reports of a shooting victim. When they arrived, they located the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Summa Akron City Hospital where he died just after 8 p.m.
Jail records indicate that Johnson and the man were in an argument when Johnson shot him twice with a .45-caliber pistol.
The name of the deceased has not been released at this time. We are working to get more information.
