The New Philadelphia Quakers outscored North Canton Hoover 9-0 in the overtime period of a 45-36 Quaker victory on Monday night at New Philadelphia High School.
The two teams were closely knotted up for the majority of the contest, with the Vikings’ 21-16 second-quarter lead the largest point differential before the overtime.
Ajia Schreffler led the Quakers (14-3) with a game-high 21 points, while Alyssa Miller added 15 points.
Hoover (12-8) was led in scoring by Grace Craig, who totaled 16 points – of which 12 came in the first half.
TUSCARAWAS VALLEY 46, MINERVA 32
Tusky Valley netted a non-conference Monday win over the Lions in Minerva.
The Trojans (16-3) grabbed 11 offensive rebounds as part of 25 total boards, with Brook Stookey (17 points, 11 rebounds) leading her team in scoring and rebounding.
Ashley Merrick added nine points for Tusky, while Leah Bourquin and Kaleigh Norris each scored eight points.
Jenna Cassidy scored 17 points to lead Minerva (7-11).
CARROLLTON 72, SANDY VALLEY 58
The Carrollton Warriors won a non-conference home affair against Sandy Valley High School.
The Cardinals (12-7) were led by Abbey Parker’s 22 points and six rebounds, along with outings from Zoe Ward (10 points, six rebounds, five assists) and Alli Neary (10 points, five rebounds, four assists).
The Warriors moved to 10-9 with the win.
CLAYMONT 42, RIDGEWOOD 33
The Lady Mustangs moved to 8-10 and 3-7 in the IVC South with a 9-point victory over Ridgewood on Monday night in West Lafayette.
Claymont’s leading scorer was Emily Grant (16 points), along with performances from Bailey Eddleman (seven points), Emma Woodward, and Raechelle Miles (six points each).
The Lady Generals moved to 5-12 (1-10 South) with the loss.
BUCKEYE TRAIL 49, CALDWELL 38
Buckeye Trail avenged an earlier season loss to Caldwell with an 11-point Monday night final.
Josie Creighton led the Warriors with 15 points as the victors moved to 10-8 overall.
EAST CANTON 61, CENTRAL CHRISTIAN 23
The East Canton Wizards had few problems against Central Christian in their Monday night victory.
East Canton improved to 6-15 with the victory.
PHILO 33, INDIAN VALLEY 27
Philo bested Indian Valley in a Monday night contest in Gnadenhutten.
The Braves dropped to 1-18 with the loss.

Strasburg’s offense rolled in the first half en route to a Monday night win over Central Christian High School.
