The Claymont Mustangs steamrolled the East Canton Wizards in an IVC North girls basketball showdown on Thursday night.

Bailey Eddleman scored 17 points to lead the Mustangs 6-8, 2-5 IVC North), while Emily Grant added 12 points.

Tori Reichard led East Canton (3-13, 3-7) with 12 points.

WEST HOLMES 43, MANSFIELD SENIOR 36

The Lady Knights took an Ohio Cardinals Conference victory over Mansfield Senior High School.

Kinsey Patterson scored 15 points to lead West Holmes, while Ella McMillen added 14 points for the victors.

COSHOCTON 44, RIVER VIEW 40

Coshocton’s girls’ team picked up its first win of the season in a nail-biter against River View on Thursday.

Savannah Bartlett (16 points) and Keeley Murray (13 points) led the way for Coshocton (1-11).

For the Lady Bears (2-14), Aaliyah Better scored 17 points, while Alivia Spaulding added 10 points.

CANTON SOUTH 45, CARROLLTON 40

The Canton South Wildcats staved off the Carrollton Warriors in a Thursday Eastern Buckeye Conference showdown.

New Philadelphia’s bowling squads swept their respective matches with Canton South High School on Thursday at Boulevard Lanes.

Hannah Trimble’s 335 series (167-168) and Maggie Compher’s 321 (142-179) led the Lady Quakers, while Alex Knisely led the Phila boys with a 396.

For the Wildcats, Chalyse Minor bowled a girls team-high 355, and Katie Telareli added a 324.

Canton South’s boys’ team was led by Trevor Gore’s 374.

WRESTLING

CARROLLTON 54, ALLIANCE 21

The Carrollton Warriors scored a wrestling match victory over Alliance on Thursday.

The Warriors improved to 13-4 overall in duals and 4-0 in the EBC.
