Communities throughout Northeast Ohio are experiencing the winter storm of the season.

Areas have been affected with snowfall between 8-15 inches, making tri-county area businesses, schools and restaurants having to put their “Sorry, We’re Closed” signs up unexpectedly Monday.

Schools have had their campus closed for class already due to Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but practices, clubs, and events on campus were shut down.

Canton Local School District said on their Facebook page Monday that “All events, activities and practices are canceled today, Monday, January 17, 2022.”

Brown Local Schools also took to Facebook saying “Brown Local School Campus is officially closed for today, Monday 1/17/2022. All practices and events have been canceled. Middle School Basketball games for today have been postponed. We will announce a makeup date later this week. Stay Safe and Go Hornets!”

Buildings had to close their doors Monday due to the heavy snowfall also.

Those include the Canal Fulton Public Library, Carroll County Christian Academy, Green Family YMCA’s morning classes, McKinley Early Childhood Center, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Restaurants are also seeing their fair share of closures also.

Whole Latte Love Cafe in North Canton closed Monday, as they were unable to safely pick up their trainees.

A couple of Starbucks locations were not open for business as well, those being located at East Maple Street and Applegrove Street in North Canton along with Dressler Road and Fulton Drive in Canton.
