The Ohio State Highway Patrol of New Philadelphia is investigating a crash that claimed the life of a 52-year-old East Sparta man Saturday evening.
Officials say that Sean Jeffery, 52, was traveling eastbound on State Route 183 in Sandy Township when he went off the right side of the road before overturning in a ditch a catching fire.
Jeffery was ejected from the vehicle. A seatbelt was not worn.
Alcohol use is unknown at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
