Minerva High School bested neighbor Minerva in a non-conference girls basketball game on Monday night.

The Lions (3-5) were led in scoring by Jenna Cassidy (20 points) and Hera Hoffee (18), while the Hornets (6-6) received 24 points from Maddie Powers and 12 points from Lanie Bower.

HARRISON CENTRAL 49, EDISON 34

Harrison Central High School won at home over Edison in an OVAC contest.

H.C. led 25-13 at halftime.

New Philadelphia and Sandy Valley split at Boulevard Lanes on Monday night.

The Quakers bowled to a 2244-1669 victory over S.V. by Alex Knisely’s 429, while Jaden Capillo scored a 325 for the Cardinals.

Meanwhile, the Lady Cardinals won 2129-1849, with Joey Boyer totaling a 420 series (195-225) and Miah Delaney bowling a 408 (214-294).

N.P. were led by Maggie Compher’s 351 (165-198).
