Three high school students are dead after shots rang out Tuesday at a high school in Michigan. Six others were injured the shooting Oxford High School in suburban Detroit, authorities said.

Oakland County undersheriff Michael McCabe said at a press conference that a 15-year-old is in custody. The alleged shooter is a sophomore at the high school. Police also recovered a handgun.

More than 100 911 calls were received by dispatch just before 1pm Tuesday.

The identities of the three students killed have not been released at this time.

"We are still doing a secondary search of the school for any further victims," McCabe said.

One of the six people who were injured is believed to be a teacher.
