A 25-year-old Plain Township man was arrested Tuesday night after a two-year-old girl was found wandering alone on U.S. Route 62.

Stark County Jail records indicated that the man was watching the toddler when he left her alone at the residence for “at least 10 minutes” just before 6 p.m. in the 1100 block of 30th St. NE.

The young child walked out the front door and into traffic on U.S. Route 62. Officials were notified when another driver found the child.

According to jail records, there were no child safety features installed on the door the two-year-old walked out of.

The 25-year-old man was charged with misdemeanor endangering children.
