The Dover Crimson Tornadoes were the toast of the East Central Ohio League town in 2021.
Finishing an undefeated 9-0 that capped off with a 24-7 win over rival New Philadelphia, the Tornadoes swept through multiple yearly awards on the ECOL’s all-conference selections released on Tuesday.
Connor McGarry (Offensive Player of the Year) and Ryan McVicker (Defensive Player of the Year, Defensive Lineman of the Year) were named the top players for their respective sides of the ball, while, Tyler Little (Offensive Lineman of the Year) and head coach Dan Ifft (Coach of the Year) also received yearly honors.
Joining McGarry, McVicker, and Little on the conference first-team are Dover standouts T.C. Molk, Tyler Little, and Joey Farthing. Ayden Hall, Ben Hamm, Mike Beal, Simon Lorentz (2nd Team), and Jake Jones (Honorable Mention) also landed on the All-ECOL team.
New Philadelphia landed three 1st-teamers, including Matthew Beach, Cameron Clarkson, and Jadan Lowery.
Marietta and Warren Local also received All-ECOL billings, including Aaron Heiner and Zach Bartlett for the Tigers, and JT Rice for the Warriors.
