6th-seeded Dover defeated No. 4 River View in four sets in Tuesday night’s Division II East District semifinal volleyball match (25-20, 18-25, 27-25, 25-18) at Indian Valley High School.
Taylor Luneborg recorded 23 kills, 13 digs, and eight points, while Katie Bleininger posted 45 assists, 16 points, and three aces. Morgan Kiser added 12 kills and 18 digs for the Crimson Tornadoes, and Cara Detweiler had 12 kills and four. points
Dover improved to 15-8 and will play top-seeded Tri-Valley for an East District title on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Harrison Central High School.
CLAYMONT 21-25-25-25, BEAVER LOCAL 25-23-18-22
No. 3 Claymont overcame a dropped opening set to best Beaver Local in the Division II East District semifinals at Harrison Central.
The Mustangs will play No. 2 Meadowbrook for the District title on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Buckeye Trail High School.

HILAND 7, CAMBRIDGE 1
The Hiland Hawks easily advanced to the Division III East District finals with a 7-1 victory over Cambridge at Coshocton’s Stewart Field.
Kate Kaufman recorded a hat trick while Paige Gertz added a pair of goals. Emily Gingerich and Miah Miller also scored for Hiland.
The Hawks (15-2-1) will face off with No. 2 Zanesville Rosecrans for the District this Saturday at 11 a.m. in Coshocton.
BOYS SOCCER
ST. CLAIRSVILLE 2, NEW PHILADELPHIA 1 (OT)
No. 3 St. Clairsville outlasted No. 6 New Philadelphia, 2-1, in overtime in the Division II East District boys’ soccer match on Tuesday night at Harrison Central High School.
Simon Pugh recorded the Quakers’ lone goal early in the second half on an assist from Elliott Warner, but St. Clairsville tied the match on a later goal from Jack Gasber.
Caden Stout scored three minutes into overtime to give the Red Devils the victory.
St. Clairsville will face top-seeded River View for a District title on Saturday at 11 a.m. at John Glenn High School.
RIVER VIEW 3, JOHN GLENN 1
The Black Bears outlasted the Muskies in a Tuesday night match for the Division II East District semifinal at West Muskingum High School.
Bernie Cuetara, Gage Summers, and Bryson Fry each scored for River View (16-1-1), while Aarav Vaishnav scored late for J.G.
