A local teenager is dead following a shooting in the 400 block of WC Henderson Ave NE Sunday afternoon.
Police were dispatched to the area and located an unoccupied stolen Ford Fusion in the roadway on 4th St NE with gunshot damage. Officers located an unresponsive teenager laying in the grass with an apparent gunshot to the chest. The 16-year-old was pronounced dead at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital.
According to witnesses, they saw a total of the three man running away from the stolen Ford Fusion – one of which was the 16-year-old who died.
Witnesses tell police they observed a red or maroon minivan traveling at a high rate of speed, chasing and shooting at the Ford Fusion before fleeing the area.
