Sandy Valley High School ran wild around Art Teynor Field on Saturday night in a 40-14 IVC win over Tuscarawas Central Catholic.
Cardinals quarterback Ben Petro (10-18, 160 passing yards, 20 carries, 113 rushing yards) threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, while Mason Tucci caught both of Petro’s scoring throws – and ran for his own rushing touchdown.
Chad Davis also picked up a touchdown as Sandy compiled 388 total offensive yards, compared to the Saints’ 238.
T.C.C. quarterback Jordan Cherry went 6-13 for 133 yards and a touchdown to Hunter Sabin, while Drew Lakota had a late scoring toss to Zach Bussie.
The Cardinals improved to 4-1, while Central fell to 1-4.
