The Minerva Lady Lions picked up a 3-0 win over the Canton South Wildcats Thursday evening.
The Lady Lions battled the Wildcats in a back-and-forth opening set, going on to win 27-25. Minerva won the next two sets 25-23 and 25-21.
Minerva senior Abby Wheeler led the attack for the Lady Lions with 19 kills. Gabby Romano recorded eight kills. Bella Murray and Shylyn Bobby both finished with a pair of kills.
Julie Costea led the serving attack for Minerva, recording four aces; Ava Haueter finished with three.
Romano and Ella Granat both finished with two solo blocks for the Lady Lions.
Madelyn Morckel recorded 13 assists for Minerva and Ava Haueter (12).
