The Conotton Valley Rockets are planning to play St. Thomas Aquinas in football this Friday, according to Conotton Valley athletic director Jonathan Stuck.

Stuck says that, while he believes “the St. Thomas news is official,” Conotton Valley is “waiting on a confirmation about transportation from [Aquinas].”

According to Stuck, Rockets players have tested negative for COVID-19 following their Week 3 game cancelation against Newcomerstown.

“All of our results were negative,” Stuck answered.

While the Trojans and Rockets had initially hoped to reschedule the contest for sometime early this week, the Trojans shut down their football program through Sep. 14 following “COVID issues.”

The Rockets (1-1) are coming off a 40-12 loss to Malvern back on Aug. 27, and will now face a Knights team that is 0-3 to begin the year. In their last contest this past Friday, Aquinas lost 69-18 to the Carrollton Warriors.
