Ridgewood High School is the new opponent for the Dalton Bulldogs this Friday in West Lafayette.

The Generals were tabbed by Dalton after the Bulldogs’ game against Chippewa High School was canceled on Wednesday, due to COVID-19 issues within the Chipps’ football program.

Ridgewood’s original Week 4 opponent was Strasburg, who has picked up a varsity contest for this Friday against Crestline High School at Ron Hurst Field.

“We got lucky that we were able to find an opponent on such short notice,” Strasburg athletic director Gary Spinell said Wednesday.

The Generals will remain without an Inter-Valley Conference game for another week before their scheduled Week 5 setup (Sep. 17) with East Canton. In their first three games of the season, Ridgewood has gone 3-0 and has yet to score less than 50 points in each of their victories (68-0 vs Coshocton, 54-6 at River View, 57-14 vs Marlington).

Dalton, meanwhile, is 2-1 after a 21-7 loss to Garaway last Friday at Harmon Field.

Strasburg (0-3) will face a Crestline squad that is 0-2 and coming off back-to-back losses to Buckeye Central (45-12) and North Baltimore (54-0).
