River View High School’s Week 3 football game against Crooksville High School has been canceled, due to COVID-19 issues within the latter program.
The Black Bears are now actively searching for a replacement opponent for Friday night’s would-be home game.

The cancelation is the latest of multiple area games to be affected by the coronavirus, after East Canton and Indian Valley had already called off their respective Week 3 contests against Southern Local and Dover earlier this week (Indian Valley also canceled their Week 4 matchup against Newcomerstown). However, unlike the previous two examples, River View is searching for a new game after their opponent was affected by the virus.

River View is 1-1 for the season after an opening win against Morgan (44-28), followed by a 54-6 Week 2 loss to Ridgewood.
