Connor Ritter tied his own school record with a 7-under performance in Sandy Valley’s season-low 163-187 victory over Tuscarawas Central Catholic at Wilkshire on Tuesday.

Ritter fired a 29 over a nine-hole match, matching his previous career best.

The Cardinals also received qualifying scores from John Wood (41, +5), Seth McCaulley (44, +8) and Lucas Ellington (49, +13).

Sandy advanced to 4-2 on the season with the win.

CARROLLTON 164, SALEM 181

Jaxon Rinkes’ 1-over 37 in Carrollton’s 164-181 boys golf victory over Salem High School on Tuesday at Salem Hills.

Rinkes was followed by Colton Moore’s 41 (+5), along with Cayden Rininger, and John Birong (both 43, +7)

Salem’s top scorer was Cole Ford (4, +8), while Carson Rhodes shot 45 (+9). Sam Bricker and Nick Colbert each shot 46 (+10).

GIRLS GOLF

MASSILLON 194, FAIRLESS 230

Massillon won over Fairless at The Elms on Tuesday.

Morgan Hannon shot a 42 (+6) to pace the Tigers (8-4), while Kylee Moore’s 49 (+13) led the Falcons (1-6).

VOLLEYBALL

HILAND 20-25-26-25, CLAYMONT 25-22-24-22

Hiland topped the Claymont Mustangs at Berlin’s Perry Reese Center.

The Hawks (5-0, 1-0 in IVC) rallied from a dropped first set to win the final three.

Gracie Keim had 42 assists for the Hawks, while Hannah Yoder (16 kills) and Ava Troyer (14 kills, 6 blocks) contributed to Hiland’s win.

TUSCARAWAS VALLEY 25-25-25, INDIAN VALLEY 22-19-15

The Tusky Valley Trojans topped Indian Valley in straight sets at Zoarville on Tuesday.

The Trojans (3-0) have yet to surrender a set so far this season.

GARAWAY 25-26-25, SANDY VALLEY 14-24-22

Garaway’s volleyball team defeated Sandy Valley in three sets on Tuesday night.

Shelby Gerber led the victors with 21 assists and four aces, while McKenzie Miller notched 23 kills and three blocks.

TUSCARWAS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 18-25-11-25-15, RIDGEWOOD 25-19-25-20-10

The Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints sweated out a five-set win over Ridgewood.

Maddie Ferrell had 11 kills, 20 digs, 21 assists, and three aces in the win, while Reese Triplett had 10 kills, 26 digs, and three blocks for the Saints (3-2).

Hannah Maust (19 kills, 22 digs, four blocks, eight points, two aces) led the Generals (3-3).

MARLINGTON 25-25-25, CARROLLTON 13-13-9

Marlington went on the road and picked up a win over Carrollton in a sweep.

The Warriors (0-5) were led by Bri Shockey (three points) and Brandi Hafner (four kills), as well as Molly Brace (11 assists).

BOYS SOCCER

MARIETTA 5, NEW PHILADELPHIA 2

The Marietta Tigers scored a 5-2 win over New Philadelphia on Tuesday.

Mac Threatt scored a hat trick for Marietta, while the Quakers (1-2) got two goals from Elliott Warner.

GIRLS SOCCER

HILAND 3, JOHN GLENN 1

Hiland overcame an early 1-0 deficit to top the Lady Muskies on Tuesday.

Lydia Weaver, Paige Gertz, and Kate Kaufman led the Hawks (2-1) with a goal apiece.

Angela Kumler scored the lone goal for John Glenn (2-1)

PARKERSBURG (W.V.) 5, DOVER 0

The Lady Crimson Tornadoes were shut out by Parkersburg down in West Virginia.

The state-ranked winners were led by Samantha Nunn (three goals), while Reagan Shockey and Mia Miller had a goal apiece.

Addie Martin had 28 saves in goal for Dover.
