Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice will be visiting Newcomerstown, Ohio on Friday, Sep. 3.
Rice is expected to be at Baker’s IGA on College Street from noon to 1 p.m. to promote his new energy drink brand, G.O.A.T. Fuel.
Rice is considered by many to be the greatest wide receiver in the NFL history. In 20 NFL seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, and Seattle Seahawks, Rice won three Super Bowl championships and earned 13 Pro Bow selections, as well as 12 All-Pro honors. He also holds NFL records for career receptions (1,549), receiving touchdowns (197), and receiving yards (22,895).
A former first-round pick (16th overall) in the 1985 NFL Draft, Rice would eventually be enshrined to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010.
