Triway cancels first two football games amid COVID issues

Triway High School has canceled its first two football games of the season due to COVID-19 issues, Triway athletic director Patrick Honda confirmed Thursday.

The Titans were initially set to open the 2021 season at West Holmes High School on Friday, Aug. 19, followed by their Week 2 matchup against Mogadore on Friday, Aug. 27.

Triway’s first game would be Friday, Sep. 3 against Waynedale – the would-be home opener for the Titans.

West Holmes has tapped Columbus Bishop Watterson as a replacement opponent for Friday night’s game at at Knights Stadium.
