The New Philadelphia Quakers boys golfers lead the East Central Ohio League championship after Monday’s first round at Oak Shadows Golf Course.

The Quakers shot a 313 team total, with an 18-hole score of 77 each from Shad Kenily, Nathan Menapace, and Jacob Hootman.

Dover currently sits in second place after firing a 315, with Carter Begue’s 76 leading the way for the Tornadoes. Jacob Hanner, Dylan Grewell (79 apiece), and Zach Dale (81) also scored for Dover.

Marietta (317) and Warren (343) sit at third and fourth, respectively, as the second round of the tournament will tee off on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette.
