Federal agents have made an arrest of a 26-year-old man from Tuscarawas County who was wanted on two counts of child rape.

Colt Crites was arrested in Durham, NC for rape involving two children under eight years of age.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Crites Thursday in an apartment near the 1900 block of Morehead Ave. in Durham after finding his registered vehicle with Ohio plates parked in the apartment parking lot.

“Outstanding working relationships with our local partners is vital to the success of our fugitive task force,” said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott. “Our task force members worked closely with the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office to track down this sexual predator and bring him to justice.”
