A Carroll County woman was arrested by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office after a short pursuit Tuesday.

Abigail Motz, 33, of Waynesburg Rd. was wanted for an active arrest warrant out of Harrison County. When a Carroll County deputy spotted her driving a vehicle on SR 171 near Bachelor Rd, they tried to stop her.

Motz allegedly fled from law enforcement at 80+ MPH. Stop sticks were deployed near Jasmine Rd. to flatten her tires, according to the Carroll County Prosecutor’s Office. She exited the vehicle and fled on foot into the woods on Cobbler Rd. near Andora Rd. when her car became disabled.

A Sheriff K9 was deployed to track down Motz, who was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.

She was charged with Failure to Comply with Order or Signal of Police Officer, a felony of the third degree.

Motz is scheduled to appear for arraignment on July 15.
