Deputies with the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Coshocton County Regional Medical Center for a report of a male being treated for a gunshot wound.
Officers learned that 36-year-old James A. Murray was shot in the 900 block of Chestnut Street Wednesday evening.
When detectives arrived to the scene of the shooting, witnesses told them the alleged shooter fled on foot towards the Red Sea area. The suspect was taken into custody a few hours later without incident.
The findings from the investigation will be passed onto the county prosecutor. The name of the suspect has not been released pending formal charges.
