The scene is clear in Waynesburg after a swat situation forced a heavy police presence Tuesday morning.
Dispatch tells JMN that Canton Swat, the US Marshals, Waynesburg police, Stark County Sheriff’s and surrounding agencies were on scene at a home in the 7000 block of Broadford St. SE.
Canton police confirmed to JMN that one person was arrested without incident. The Violent Fugitive Task Force is handling the case.
Officials tell us an arrest warrant led law enforcement to the scene. The arrest warrant stems from a previous case with the Waynesburg police department.
At this time, it is unclear why the suspect was arrested.
