Two men are in the hospital following a shooting outside of East Canton in Canton Township on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a press release from the Stark County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a home in the 300 block of Trump Ave. NE around 2 p.m. Wednesday for a shooting.
When authorities arrived to the Trump Ave. NE home, they located two males who sustained gunshots. Both shooting victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The identity of the victims has not been released and their conditions are unknown.
An investigator with the Stark County Sheriff’s Office tells JMN that their department is working leads to track down the suspected shooter. No description or identify of the shooter has been released at this time.
One neighbor tells JMN he heard multiple gunshots. It is unclear how many times the victims were shot.
