The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reporting the death of a juvenile believed to be from Marlington High School.

OSHP says the teenager was driving a 2011 Kia Optima when he was reportedly seen speeding around vehicles in a non-passing zone.

While speeding around vehicles, the teen crashed into a stop sign on Beech Street (near Colony Dr) and then crashed into a tree, causing the vehicle to roll multiple times. The crash occurred around 10:20 p.m.

OSHP said the juvenile, who was the soul occupant of the vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He died at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, but at this time official do not believe drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
