Sources tell JMN that Mario Lerario, the suspect in the fatal hit-and-run of Abby Vanest, did not show for his Friday morning arrangement but he did write in a not guilty plea the night before.

Lerario fled police for more than four months after allegedly striking Vanest’s vehicle at 95 MPH, according to Jackson Twp. police.

Lerario was arrested last weekend and released from the Stark County Jail after posting 10% of his $500,000 bond.

Pre-trial was scheduled for April 14.
