Last year, county fair participants from all over were devastated with the cancelation of full fairs due to COVID-19 concerns. This year, Governor Mike DeWine announced fairs will be able happen in full this summer.
“It’s possible that by the time we get to fair season we may be off the health orders if things continue to go well,” DeWine said during Thursday’s press conference.
Fairs that did go underway in 2020 happened in a limited capacity for only 4-H events or with virtual live-stock sales.
DeWine said his team will issue full guidance with just a few limitations Thursday evening.
