A 57-year-old Carroll County man has been indicted on 13 felony sexual abuse charges involving three different girls spanning nearly two decades.
Carroll County prosecutor Steven Barnett said Rickie A. Garbrandt, a Sherrodsville (Orange Township) man, engaged in sexual with three different girls during the course of 2001-2020. At the time of the alleged crimes, Barnett said the girls were minors – now adults.
The charges are five counts of sexual battery, four counts of gross sexual imposition, two charges of rape, and one count each of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and attempted rape.
The investigation into Garbrandt lasted more than a year.
