Stark County Sheriff George Maier announced on Monday that his office has released a new smartphone application to “further serve the citizens of Stark County.”

The goal of the app is to better connect Stark County residents by proving information quickly and efficiently to anyone with a smartphone.

“Ensuring the Stark County Sheriff’s Office is accessible and transparent continues to be a priority,” said Sheriff Maier. “This smartphone app will provide an additional way for us to achieve seamless communication with those we serve while providing convenient access to the different resources and services we provide.”

The app has the capability to send instant notifications from the Sheriff’s Office directly to its users. Quick access will be provided for features such as:

  • Registered Sex Offender Location Map
  • Calls for Service
  • Jail and Inmate Information
  • Dog Warden
  • Concealed Handgun License (CHL) information
  • Access to Sheriff’s Office social media platforms
  • Press releases
  • And more

Users can use the app to submit tips, access contact information and offer community feedback. The Sheriff noted the app is not designed to report crimes in progress.

The app can be downloaded for free in the Apple Store or Google Play. Search “Stark Sheriff Ohio.”
