A six-year-old boy is dead and his mother has been charged with murder in Ohio.
Middletown, Ohio police say they received a report Sunday morning that six-year-old James Robert Hutchinson was missing. James’ mother, Brittany Gosney, called in the missing child report.
It was later discovered that Gosney, along with her boyfriend James Hamilton, told police that the child was killed in Preble County. The couple told police his body was brought back to Middletown, where they live, and his body was put in the Ohio River.
Middletown Police say they will be working with trained searchers to recover James’ body.
Gosney, 29, has been charged with murder, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. Hamilton, 42, has been charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.
Police say two other children were removed from the home.
