A new group of people has been announced to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Ohio’s Phase 1C.
Governor Mike DeWine announced the decision, saying “certain professions and those with certain medical conditions not covered in previous phases” will be eligible this time around.
The eligibility begins Thursday, March 4.
The following medical conditions will be eligible for the vaccine.
- Pregnant women
- Living with ALS
- Bone Marrow transplant recipients
- Type 1 diabetes
The following professions will be eligible for the vaccine.
- Law enforcement/corrections officers
- Childcare services
- Funeral services
Also, Ohioans 60 years and older will be eligible for the vaccine beginning March 4.
