Man dead after crashing into ODOT plow truck

According to a press release by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a man is dead after a crash involving an Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) plow truck.

Officials say the accident happened at 10:15 in Medina County in the northbound lanes of I-71.

They say when troopers arrives on scene, they found a 2019 Toyota Tacoma in the left lane of the roadway along with an ODOT plow truck.

The driver of the plow truck was clearing the left lane of the nightway when the Tacoma collided with the plow truck from behind.

The driver of the Tacoma died at the scene and the driver of the ODOT plow truck was not injured, according to the press release.

The crash remains under investigation.

OSHP wants to remind motorists to use cause when traveling on snow and ice-covered roadways.
