An arrest has been made in connection with several burglary reports in Plain Township, according to the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
Abel Owens was arrested during an active burglary Friday, February 12 at a home in Plain Township.
Deputies responded to the burglary in progress at 10:53 p.m in the 2800 block of 55th Street NE. Upon arrival, deputies learned the Owens allegedly broke a storm door and a window but was unable to gain entry into the home.
A short time later at 11:09 p.m. another report was received regarding a burglary in progress at a residence in the 5600 block of Linder Circle in Plain Township. Deputies responded to the call and located 23-year-old Abel Owens fleeing the residence. Owens was arrested without incident and booked into the Stark County Jail on two charges of burglary (F2), three counts of attempted burglary (F2) and two counts of criminal damaging.
